Martin Güldenberg

Martin Gueldenberg is a Managing Director in Corporate and Investment Banking and the Head of International Corporate Banking for Germany, Austria and Switzerland, based in Frankfurt.

Martin started his career at Barclays as the Head of Risk Solutions Group for the DACH region in 2000 where he managed to build a market leading corporate risk management business with a focus on Foreign Exchange, Interest and Inflation hedging and tailored made asset management solutions for Corporates in the region. In the following years, he expanded his regional responsibilities on the RSG side to France, BENELUX and Scandinavia. In 2015 he was appointed Co-Head of Debt Capital Markets/Risk Solutions Group for the expanded region.

In 2016 Martin joined the Investment Banking Coverage Team with a focus on large industrial and utility companies. As part of his role he was also responsible for the coverage of Swiss corporate clients.

In addition to his Banking role Martin took over the responsibility for the Corporate Banking Business in 2019 with a focus on fostering the integration of the Corporate and Banking business and introducing the Lead Treasury Banker coverage model. In 2023 Martin fully joined the Corporate Banking Team as the Head of International Corporate Banking for Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Martin will also be responsible for the build out of the Nordics business.

Martin joined Barclays from ABN AMRO where he worked for three years as a Director in the Corporate Sales department covering large multinationals and mid cap corporate across all asset classes on the risk management side. Prior to that, he worked at Citibank for over five years in the Asset Back Securities and the Global Derivatives Marketing area based in London and in Frankfurt.

Martin graduated with a degree in Business Administration from the University of St. Gallen in Switzerland.
