Dimitrios Papatheodorou

Dimitrios Papatheodorou is the Head of High Yield Investments within the Infrastructure Debt Investments Team at HSBC Asset Management in London and has been working in the financial industry since 2007. He is responsible for the execution and growth of the High Yield Infrastructure Debt strategy as well as in representing the strategy to investors and borrowers and sponsors alike. He has deep experience in originating, structuring and executing investments that deliver an attractive risk-return profile, across most infrastructure sectors in several jurisdictions, primarily in Western and Central Europe, the US, Canada and Latin America. Before joining HSBC, Dimitrios was a Vice President at Sequoia Investment Management, a high yield infrastructure debt investment manager with USD2bn assets under management and was responsible for originating and executing a significant portion of the Fund’s portfolio. Prior to Sequoia, Dimitrios studied for his MBA at London Business School and undertook internships at Blackstone GSO Capital Partners and Credit Suisse Investment Banking. Prior to that Dimitrios spent four years at Ernst & Young’s Corporate Finance team in Athens, where he was a senior associate, advising on a variety of infrastructure sectors, including motorways, renewables, and real estate across SE Europe. Dimitrios started his career in 2007 at Royal Bank of Scotland in London, where he was an analyst in the Corporate Restructuring Unit. Dimitrios has a BSc (Hons) in International Business with German from University of Warwick, an MSc in International Business Administration from Rotterdam School of Management and an MBA from the London Business School. He is fluent in English and Greek and conversational in German.
